AI Job Autofill — Chrome Extension
AI Job Autofill is a Chrome extension that helps users auto-fill job applications. This policy explains what data the extension handles, how it is stored, and how it is used. We are committed to transparency and to minimizing data collection.
All data is provided voluntarily by you within the extension interface.
The extension stores the following information locally on your device
using chrome.storage.local:
The extension does not collect passwords, financial information, browsing history, analytics, telemetry, or any data beyond what you explicitly enter.
Your data is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than the features described above.
All data resides on your device in Chrome's local storage. If you have Chrome Sync enabled in your browser, Chrome may sync extension storage data across your signed-in devices using Google's infrastructure. This is controlled entirely by your Chrome settings, not by the extension.
No data is sent to any server owned or operated by the extension developer. We do not operate servers, databases, or backend services of any kind.
The only third-party service the extension communicates with is Google's Gemini API, and only when you explicitly trigger an AI feature (match scoring or cover letter generation). This communication uses your own API key, which you provide. Data sent to the Gemini API is subject to Google's API Terms of Service.
The extension does not use cookies, analytics services, crash reporters, or any other third-party tracking tools.
The extension requests the following Chrome permissions:
Content scripts run only on boards.greenhouse.io and
jobs.lever.co. The extension does not access or read any
other websites.
Your data is stored using Chrome's built-in extension storage APIs, which isolate data to the extension's sandboxed environment. Your Gemini API key is stored locally and is transmitted only to Google's API endpoints over HTTPS when you use AI features. We recommend keeping your browser and extension up to date.

Because AI Job Autofill stores all personal data locally on your device and does not transmit it to any developer-controlled server, data processing is performed entirely under your control. When AI features are used, data sent to Google's Gemini API is processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policies and terms. Users in the European Economic Area retain all rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, and data portability — all of which can be exercised by managing or removing the extension.
This extension is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
